Our Story


Paul Kaster and Nat Redfern met at USC, studying computer science, business, and cognitive science. After graduation, both joined Disney—Paul in M&A and Nat building Disney+.


By 22, they'd already acquired two self-storage facilities. At 25, they successfully sold their first facility to a REIT and expanded to nearly 500 units across four states, driven by Paul's operational expertise and Nat's tech-driven, customer-focused approach.


To accelerate leasing and support their rapid growth, they developed Occupancy Edge. Initially created for internal use, its success inspired them to open-source the platform, sharing their innovative customer acquisition tool with industry peers.
